I have written four posts here at 1Glories that specifically relate to how I do New Year’s Resolutions. I encourage you to read the first three here (part 1), here (part2) and here (part3) because you probably would not realize the full impact of the what follows. But, if you don’t want to read through them, no worries, I think (and pray) it will be of at least some inspiration.

After another year of pursuing a better me, and praying that better me is truly guided by God and not my egocentric ambitions, I have developed my 2013 Personal Affirmations. I share them for two reasons:

First, if nobody else knows, the only person that can hold you accountable is yourself. When others know where it is to which you aspire, they can share in your development, hold you accountable and hopefully be a part of the journey instead of casualties as you attempt to “win the game”.

The second reason I share them is represented in part of this year’s affirmation: “aspire to inspire”. The bulk of my life has been influenced by attributes I admire in others. I hope I can be of some form of inspiration to others as well. So, I pray that you will not only share these affirmations (tweet it, post it of FB, email it… whatever), but you will adopt all or part of them as your own.

We’re in this together my beloved brothers and sisters.

Godspeed.
