We are in the final stages in our Year of Listing Up series, so I gotta start thinking about 2017. There’s a lot of great things on the horizon, including a new book (or two!), some great educational e-courses and more. I’ve very excited about it all and I pray others will find as much value it it as I hope.

A Year of Listening Up – 2017

My book, Listen Up, Kids: Foolish Dreams, Syncing with God & Running to Win was written as a letter to share a handful of life lessons with my daughters. After some formatting and organization, it turned into a book. With the publication, I set out to spend a full year exploring twelve of those lessons/mantras in more detail.

It’s been a struggle at times, though it has been extremely rewarding and it’s provided a lot of growth. If you haven’t been following along, if you have missed any posts or you want to catch up, I encourage you to check out the Year of Listening Up page where each post has been archived.

With 2017 approaching, I have been going through my journals, notes in books I’ve read, and digging through various scrap papers to compile a list of potential topics for the 2017 edition. The good news is, I have plenty. The difficult news is, I won’t get to all of them next year.

Having too many lessons/mantras to explore is a great problem to have. Why? Because it gets you involve!

And I love when you get involved. I’ve identified a handful of topics I am certain will be included. And I have a list that’s about three times as long that I want you to choose from. That’s right, I want you to pick out 2017’s content for 1Glories.

I’m going to share the list here. After you’ve looked through, I want you to click this link (or the “vote” button below) to select your top three choices. Feel free to write one in, too!

Planning Next Year – The Nominees are:

  • See Individuals, Not Crowds
  • Strengthen Your Flippers Before You Get in the Water
  • Don’t Quit on God’s Plans
  • See Your Season Through to the End
  • Don’t Overlook the Ordinary
  • Find Value in Disaster
  • Step Off the Curb
  • Make a Decision Already
  • Look with Mirrors, Not Microscopes
  • Embrace Your Thorns

There you have it. Not all are going to make the cut. Comment on this post if you have other ideas or if you would like any details on any of the potential topics. Once you’ve got your three, click the vote button below.

Thanks so much for your help.
