In 41 Will Come, Check E. Tate presents a clear call to action: What are you going to do about the giant that’s standing between you and your dreams? The giant that is keeping you from being the person God created you to be?

This is a tough question. In fact, it’s one that goes unanswered for many people. Fortunately for us, Tate has some ideas based upon his personal experiences and what the word of God tells us. NavPress/Tyndale House Publishers has provided me with a copy of 41 Will Come in return for an honest review. They have also graciously provided an extra copy for me to give away – so keep reading to find out how you can enter to win!

In addition to being a review, this post is a great kick off to another month in the Year of Listening Up series, this one focused on how we can Go from Low to Glow.

41 Will Come to Mark a New Beginning

Throughout scripture, we find many instances where the number 40 is used. For instance:

  • Noah built an ark — it rained for 40 days (Genesis 7:12).
  • Moses committed murder — he hid in the desert for 40 years (Acts 7:30).
  • Goliath bullied and taunted Israel for 40 days — until David stepped up (1 Samuel 17:16).
  • Jonah spoke of impending doom at Nineveh for 40 days — they repented and were extended mercy (Jonah 3-4).
  • Jesus fasted in the wilderness for 40 days while being tempted by the Devil — until the Devil fled (Luke 4:2).

In pretty much all instances, the number 40 represents struggle in some regard. It could be a period of waiting or a period of immense challenge. What we sometimes miss, though, is the fact that once that period concludes, the 41 begins. With it, we experience a new season.

A season of revival, of triumph, of hope assured.

Tate shares many examples to prove that, no matter how giant the obstacle of your 40 may be, the season that commences at your 41 will be well worth it. You receive an understanding that giving up is never an option when you’re called by God.

41 Will Come by Chuck E. Tate

A bold declaration of faith, 41 Will Come is a shot of encouragement and hope for everyone who desperately needs to hear “God is with you. Your story is not over. You are not defeated.”

Your 41 Will Come Against Giants

Tate’s book uses the well-known story of David and Goliath as a backdrop of his narrative. It’s always helpful to look at a familiar story or circumstance from a different vantage. In so doing, we gain new perspective and insight. This is great stuff that many of us might have previously missed or overlooked.

It works great in this instance.

Like David, you have and you will face personal giants. You have probably felt or will feel unqualified. But God calls you – even at your lowest points.

He has prepared you to shine.

41 Will Come to Divinely Inspire

41 Will Come contains many scriptural references as well as inspiring quotes from established thought leaders. Tate weaves personal experiences among the David and Goliath story to salt the application of his teaching. At the same time, he candidly shares one of his giant 40’s by relating how he’d longed to write a book, but felt unqualified. When his 41 came, he’d connected with influential individuals in the publishing world, won a contest to publish, and gained the experience he needed to pursue his dream for God.

Your 41 will come too. Stay in the race – and run to win!

More than merely defeating or overcoming your 40. It is a preparation for celebrating the reward of your 41.
